Cybernetic music

Thanx to Peter WULLEN, I discovered a part of Romand KAYN (1933-2011)
"Words such as “harmony”, “melody” and “rhythm” no longer apply; the idea that a musical work should be defined in minute detail by its composer is anathema to Kayn, who insists that cybernetic music should be self-regulating, leaving behind both the narrative element and the psycho/emotional minutiae usually associated with the notions of “composer” and “art”"

I agree with this idea though I also think that music must not be like this or like that.
I believed Xenakis said that music shoul always surprise the listener (and Aphex Twin seemed to take it seriously), but no, ok, it's a point of view, or even a directive (or an Eno like Oblique Strategy), but music can be good for dreaming (and sleeping) too.
So, music can be made to trigger feelings and emotions in the listener ... or to just be a background like architecture.
