After a few weeks hiatus, I began reworking on early years Pink Floyd songs, ones the most trippy (amongst many others from them):
- Set the controls for the heart of the sun:
- nice studio version, simple, short, but interesting to remix
- Ummagumma live version, very beautiful, trippy, one of my favourite versions
- perhaps one day, the Pompei live version, including a wonderful ambient passage
- A saucerful of secrets, with several parts:
- Ummagumma live version is magic, doesn't really age
- studio version is interesting
The beginning of Saucerful comes with a simple (yet efficient) bass line, but as simple as it is, this is not really easy to capture the magic, the mysterious ambiance. I believe that I made a sweet bass line.
